Pat’s wind transcriptions of Charles Ives’ Piano Sonata No. 2 “Concord,” re-titled A Concord Symphony and Modeste Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition recently received their premieres. Both were premiered in Austin, Texas by the University of Texas Wind Ensemble, Jerry Junkin, conductor. The Ives was premiered on November 22, 2010, while Pictures was premiered on May 4, 2011. Pictures was also featured in the season opening concert by the Dallas Wind Symphony, also conducted by Jerry Junkin on September 6, 2011
